O R D E R
1.
In the letter read above the Principal
Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana State, Hyderabad has submitted a
proposal for Constitution of Telangana Haritha Mitra Awards to encourage and
recognize the efforts done by individuals and organizations in increasing tree
cover in the State.
2.
Government of Telangana has embarked on
greening of Telangana by adopting “Telangana Ku Haritha Haaram” as flagship
programme involving all Government departments. The efforts of Government
organization has to be supplemented by efforts from Individuals and
Organisations, and their efforts need to be recognized and awarded so that the
awards may act as incentive to others to adopt greening activities

It is proposed to constitute “Telangana
Haritha Mitra Awards” to encourage and recognize the efforts done by
individuals and organizations, in increasing tree cover in the State.

After careful examination of the
proposal of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Telangana State, Hyderabad,
Government here by Constitute “Telangana Haritha Mitra Awards (THMA)”, to
be given in the following categories:

One award in each category at State
Level and one each at District Level will be given away, every year. The
awardees will be given a cash award of Rupees 1.00 Lakh (Rupees one lakh only)
for individuals and Rupees 2.00 Lakhs (Rupees Two lakhs
only) for other categories along with medallions and citations, in token of
their remarkable contribution in increasing the green cover.

The expenditure on account of “Telangana
Haritha Mitra Awards (THMA)”, will be met from Afforestation Fund (Telanganaku
Haritha Haaram).
7.
The Divisional Forest Officer (Social
Forestry) & Member Secretary of the District Level Committee of Telangana
Ku Haritha Haaram shall invite applications after giving wide publicity for all
the categories in each District, by 15th of Feb every year for the work done in the previous
calendar year.
8.
The District Level Committee of
Telangana Ku Haritha Haaram shall scrutinize and evaluate all the applications
and recommend awardees for each category by 31st of March to the Principal Chief Conservator of
Forests / Member Secretary of State Level Co-ordination Committee of Telangana
Ku Haritha Haaram.
9.
The State Level Co-ordination Committee
of Telangana Ku Haritha Haaram shall finalise the awards in each category by 30th April
and submit to the Govt. for approval andnotification
10.
Awards will be given to the finalists
on 2nd of
June, the Telangana State Formation Day, by the Hon’ble
Chief Minister in a State function.
11.
The Principal Chief Conservator of
Forests (HoFF), Telangana State, Hyderabad shall take necessary action, accordingly.

This order issues with the
concurrence of Finance (EBS.VIII) Department,
vide their U.O.No. 2991/83/16, dt. 12.04.2016.
